Judy.

In 2003, the immensely popular Connecticut-based public access program Around the Boards was in it's second - and finest - season. Brewed from a mixture of unequal parts hockey news and views, special effects or 'story' driven nonsense, and quasi-political commentary on the studio where it was produced, episode 208 ("Band") featured a very special guest: the Camera Shy Paparazzi.

Why would a hockey chat show need an in-house band, you ask? Because this particular band (the very same!) had already been featured on all three of the other programs running on the 'station' that week. And after all, we were pals.

CSP played the show in and out of breaks, as well as covering the theme song 'Poem' and other incidental music in the program. The song segments were shot against a chromakey-friendly wall, even though they were not used in the show. They would appear later in the public access special 'Camera Shy Paparazzi Week,' created to further hammer home the point that the band was really getting a lot of airtime that week in Quinnipiac University closed circuit cable channel history.

Here's the AtB performance of the very popular 'Judy.' Check out Judys Sheindlin (neé Blum), Blume (neé Sussman), and Garland (neé Gumm), as well as a shot from Animal Crackers, a nearly naked David Brand, and a sampling from the notArt False Symbolism Stock Footage Library™.
